I was taught to work hard for status.

The car. The watch. The title. The stuff that makes it look like you made it.

The "what others will think of you".

The "how others should see you"...

And I get why people chase it.

When you’re inside that system, status is the scoreboard. It’s the only way to feel like you’re winning.

But after getting out of that mentality, I feel less impressed by any of it.

Because I’ve met people with the car and the title…

and they still dread Monday.

Theyh still live for Friday.

They still needs a weekend just to recover from his week.

Threy manages to spend time with his kid only after working hours and weekends.

I am slowly slowly moving completly away from that, i want simple things:

Mondays that don’t feel heavy.

Time that feels like mine, without a manager’s approval.

A life I don’t need to escape from every weekend.

That’s the real flex to me.

Not aiming for a fake image.

Building a life that actually feels good on a random Tuesday afternoon.

And if you’re reading this thinking, “yeah… that’s exactly it”…

It doesn’t mean you’re unambitious.

It means you’re waking up.

Because the older you get, the clearer it becomes:

A shiny life isn’t the same as a good life.

I’m still ambitious.

I just want my ambition to build something I own.
