A couple of weeks ago, actually months I started trying to switch to whom I talk in my content.
From photographers and creative people to corporate people.
Every single pivot usually takes around 2-4 months, so I started posting videos like hell and nothing happened.
2 videos per day, nothing, tried a lead magnet, nothing, tried everything I could and nothing worked.
I kept doing it, 2 months in nothing happened.
But my sales went close to 1k only per month because I stopped creating to my main audience.
1.5k followers disappeared because I they were not interested anymore, usually it happens like that, it's like a cleanup.
I wanted to do the change because I though that's how it needs to evolve, that's how i'd get to next level.
And it was wrong.
Sales went very low and that put me into a panic mode.
I'm not having a job / 9to5 anymore, this is my only income, I got a kid, I'm having a wife, and I need to make this business work well so I'm not putting myself in a position where I have to find a job.
I don't want that.
So I took a step back and looked at what I like talking about, what products in my business are bringing recurring money.
That's my community for launching digital products.
All the other sales went low because there was nothing to promote there anymore through content.
In the end, I failed... that's how Vlad from a few years ago would see this.
While now, I'm actually seeing it as something that I did, tried and learned from.
And I'm not afraid to say it, I'm not afraid I'd be judged because most of the gurus and coaches, consultants online "never failed".
They never say about the things that did not work, because it'll hurt their image and how others might see them.
This is it, that was my experience with trying to switch the audience or to whom I'm talking about.
And I'll focus more on one product, the community and to help as many people as possible.
The community is also fun, I get to help and build stuff with people that are highly motivate and can make an impact.
We meet 2 times per week, they have 24/5 offline support.
There are people there that worked for Netflix and are building their own digital offers / products, photographers, marketers, people working in the medical industry, people that teach how to speak a new language.
All of the focusing on one thing building something for themselves, all of them including myself, are people just like you without any huge financial / rich background.
The only thing they have in common is that they all have a skill that they turn into a product and create content around it to sell it.
For now, I don't want to sell you anything, I'll send you to a free video of mine to help you get more value and to show you how you can do it without having a masive audience. Here's the free video
